Democrats Serve PAC launches Six-Figure Campaign in IL-17 for Jonathan Logemann

Television Ads Will Run Up to the June 28 Primary

Milford, Conn. (June 15, 2022) Democrats Serve — a national organization that actively supports Democratic candidates with public service backgrounds — announced a six-figure ad campaign in Illinois’ 17th Congressional District supporting endorsed candidate Jonathan Logemann.

Democrats Serve’s planned independent expenditure program supporting Logemann in IL-17 includes television advertising with a focus on the Quad Cities market.

Brett Broesder, Democrats Serve’s founding executive director, noted that Logemann — an alderman, educator, and veteran — has the skills and values necessary to excel as a candidate and policymaker.

“Nobody knows public service like Jonathan Logemann,” said Broesder. “He has a proven track record of fighting for Illinois families and getting results. We’re thrilled to support his congressional bid.”

Democrats Serve works to support public service candidates, many of whom lack access to national donor networks. The organization’s overall national effort consists of recruiting, training, and supporting Democrats with backgrounds serving communities in government — at the federal, state, and local levels — including teachers, police officers, firefighters, first responders, social workers, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, public health nurses, and more.

Broesder also said that the group is making a concerted effort to recruit diverse candidates with public safety and justice system experience.
