Democrats Serve PAC endorses Claire Jones for State House of Representatives (TN HD-61)
Highlighting her public service background, the national organization plans to support Claire Jones in her 2024 election actively.
Washington DC. (March 25, 2024) – Today, Democrats Serve, a national organization supporting Democrats with public service backgrounds, announced the endorsement of Claire Jones’s House of Representatives bid in Tennessee House District 61.
Democrats Serve’s executive director, Brett Broesder, stated that Claire’s public service experience, serving as a hospice nurse, makes her an excellent example of someone who can excel as a candidate and policymaker.
“Claire Jones is a fighter for Tennessee'' said Broesder. “Her public service experience and community-first priorities make her the strongest candidate to win in November. That’s why Democrats Serve is proud to support Claire Jones’s House of Representatives bid in Tennessee House District 61''.
Claire noted that she’s thrilled to receive Democrats Serve’s support.
“I’m a nurse and a mom, and I take care of people,” Jones said. “The thing that made me pay closer attention happened in 2020, when I lost a former co-worker to gun violence. I was shocked at how little our state lawmakers are willing to do to protect us all from gun violence. We need more public service employees in office who understand how policy decisions have life and death consequences.”
