Xaykham “Xay” Khamsyvoravong is a former deputy chief of staff to Rhode Island’s state treasurer and chair of the Providence Water Authority. He’s now the Mayor of Newport, Rhode Island. In fact, he’s the first Laotian mayor in the United States.
